THUNDER BAY -  Counter services at the Thunder Bay courthouse are operating on reduced hours over COVID-19 risks.

The notice came into effect on March 18 and will stay in place until further notice, an advisory posted inside the Thunder Bay Courthouse says.

The new hours for counter services are 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Since March 13, the Ontario Court of Justice and Ontario Superior Courts have either reduced or suspended operations to limit the number of people entering courthouses across the provinces.

Courts across the country have also made similar adjustments in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Online filing is still available for Small Claims Court, Civil, and Family Court matters.
