THUNDER BAY – An individual associated with local high school Westgate CVI has tested positive for COVID-19, the Lakehead District School Board announced Monday.
Anyone impacted by the case will be contacted directly, as the board works with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit to investigate potential exposure in the school setting.
The school board did not provide any additional information on the case, encouraging parents to find more information about COVID-19 and schools at the health unit’s website.
The high school had reported one previous COVID-19 case this school year, on Sept. 13.
Another local high school, St. Ignatius, reported a positive case impacting a classroom and school bus cohort late Sunday night.
