COVID-19 case count drops to 15 in the Thunder Bay district

Most active cases are in the Greenstone region.

THUNDER BAY — The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay district stood at 15 as of Tuesday morning.

The district health unit reported no new active cases in the previous 24 hours.

The case count fell from Monday's 16 due to the resolution of one existing case.

One patient is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

TBDHU does not disclose the precise locations of cases.

However, Geraldton District Hospital has disclosed that there are 12 active cases in Greenstone or surrounding First Nation communities.
