COVID-19 case count falls to 20 in the Thunder Bay district

The majority of cases are in the Greenstone region.

THUNDER BAY — The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay district has dropped to 20.

The district health unit on Tuesday morning reported no new cases since Monday, when the case count reached 25.

TBDHU does not disclose the specific communities where COVID-19 cases have been diagnosed.

However, on Monday the Geraldton District Hospital reported 16 cases in Greenstone and surrounding First Nations.

Four residents of the District of Thunder Bay are in hospital receiving treatment for COVID-19, including one in the intensive care unit of Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
