COVID-19 caseload falls to one in the Thunder Bay district

THUNDER BAY — The number of active COVID-19 cases in the District of Thunder Bay has dropped to just one.

For the seventh consecutive day, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit reported Wednesday that there were no new cases in its service area.

It also reported that one of two existing cases has been resolved.

The last time the district had only one active COVID-19 case was on Nov. 6, 2020.

The Thunder Bay district recorded its highest active case count of the pandemic – 470 – on Mar. 7, 2021.

In Kenora, the Northwestern Health Unit continues to report zero active COVID-19 cases within its catchment area.
