THUNDER BAY — An outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared at a Thunder Bay nursing home.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit and the City of Thunder Bay announced an outbreak Friday at the city-operated Pioneer Ridge long-term care home.
It's in the Plaza 4 section of the facility.
TBDHU has initiated a thorough assessment of the situation. Further measures will be taken as needed to manage this situation. Prior to the outbreak, significant measures were already in place to reduce likelihood of transmission of the virus within the facility.
