THUNDER BAY —   A new COVID-19 outbreak has been declared in a section of Bethammi Nursing home.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit and St. Joseph’s Care Group announced Monday that the outbreak is on the second floor of the facility at 63 Carrie Street.

TBDHU said it has initiated a thorough assessment of the situation, and that further measures will be taken as needed to manage the situation.

A COVID-19 outbreak at the Southbridge Roseview long-term care home is now over.

According to information published by TBDHU, current COVID outbreaks in high-risk settings in Thunder Bay include two sections of Hogarth Riverview Manor, one area of Pioneer Ridge and at Shelter House.
