THUNDER BAY— The Thunder Bay District Health Unit says a COVID-19 outbreak at the Mahmowenchike Family Development Centre in St. Ann School is now over.
The outbreak was declared on Dec. 1 after two individuals associated with the child care centre tested positive for the virus.
The initial public health investigation showed that at least one of them acquired COVID-19 in the child care setting.
In an announcement Tuesday afternoon, TBDHU said there is no evidence of any additional spread of the virus at this time.
It said everyone identified as a positive case or a close contact of a positive case is still required to stay home until cleared by public health to return to the child care centre.
