THUNDER BAY — The COVID-19 outbreak at the Southbridge Roseview long-term care home in Thunder Bay continues to expand.
Southbridge reported this morning that 14 residents and four staff members have now tested positive for the virus.
On Tuesday, the company reported 12 residents and three staff members at the Shuniah Street nursing home were infected.
Southbridge said it is working with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit to limit the spread of the virus, in conjunction with its own medical directors, its epidemiologist and its infection prevention and control specialists.
Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre is also providing support, according to Dr. Stewart Kennedy, who heads the hospital's COVID-19 response.
