CP's Holiday Train coming on Dec. 1

Annual Christmas event will feature country artist Madeline Merlo and singer Scott Helman.

THUNDER BAY -- A railroad Christmas tradition is headed back to Thunder Bay just in time for the holidays.

The CP Holiday Train is scheduled to arrive in the city on Sunday, Dec. 1, from 8:30 p.m. until 9:45 p.m.

Featured musical guests include Scott Helman and Madeline Merlo.

Merlo received the Rising Star Award in 2015 from the Canadian Country Music Association and her song, Motel Flamingo, reached No. 8 on the Canadian country music charts.

Influenced by Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Pink Floyd, Helman earned three Juno nominations in 2018.

The CP Holiday train will also make stops in Marathon, Schreiber, and Nipigon earlier on Dec. 1. It will continue on to Ignace, Dryden, Vermilion Bay, Kenora and Ingolf on Dec. 2.

The schedule can be found here.
