A crash along Algonquin Avenue sent three people to the regional hospital and caused some minor disruptions to traffic.
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. Sunday and involved a truck and a minivan. The crash forced police to close off the road near the intersection of Red River Road where traffic was rerouted. A paramedic says a woman in one of the vehicles received a hard hit to the head.
She along with two others were taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with non-life threatening injuries.
A Thunder Bay Police Service officer says that speed wasn’t a factor and that no charges have been laid.
