A pair of credit union officials from Thunder Bay are gearing up for an adventure.
Lennie Hampton and Scott Kennedy with Superior Credit Union are preparing to head to Africa later this month as part of the Canadian Co-operative Association.
Hampton is travelling to Ghana, while Kennedy is going to Malawi. They've been asked to help enhance the structure of the credit unions in the developing countries.
Hampton said it is something she's always wanted to do, and she is excited to be immersed in another culture.
Hampton and Kennedy will be leaving for Africa on Jan. 17. They'll spend two full weeks overseas to offer recommendations and try to help solve problems African credit unions are experiencing.
