City police responded to more than 224 criminal incidents during the week of Monday, June 11 through Sunday, June 17.
Thunder Bay Police Service statistics are made available through crimereports.com, a website that tracks reported crime via information provided by local police services.
This week’s report shows police were equally as busy on the south side, responding to 112 criminal incidents and 112 cases north of the Harbour Expressway.
The more than 224 incidents reported last week is an estimate and does not include traffic cases.
South of the Harbour Expressway, some of the more serious incidents included:
• 15 assaults
• 7 break and enters
• 8 property crimes
• 1 robbery
• 18 thefts
• 2 thefts from vehicle
• 1 thefts of vehicle
• 4 weapons charges
Meanwhile, north of the Harbour Expressway some of the more serious incidents included:
• 10 assaults
• 10 break and enters
• 8 property crimes
• 1 robbery
• 2 sexual assaults
• 15 thefts
• 5 thefts from vehicle
• 1 thefts of vehicle
• 5 weapons charges
The vast majority of cases city police responded to were listed as either liquor, disorder and property crime.
