FORT FRANCES, Ont. – Police have arrested and charged a 15-year-old boy after a report of an assault and stolen vehicle.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call on April 12 in which a 15-year-old assault someone known to him and stole their vehicle.
In an effort to stop the vehicle, police deployed a spike belt. The boy drove the vehicle into a ditch and was taken into custody.
The boy was charged with assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, theft of a motor vehicle and driving a motor vehicle with no licence.
The boy will be brought before the Youth Ontario Court of Justice to answer to the charges.
