THUNDER BAY -- Cold weather continues to keep crossing guards off Thunder Bay streets in the morning.

Temperatures on Thursday were deemed too chilly for crossing guards to work the early shift, but the City of Thunder Bay, which runs the program, said they will return for their afternoon shift when students are leaving school for the day.

School buses are operating as usual on Thursday.

The temperature is about -32 C at 7:30 a.m.
