THUNDER Bay – OPP in Northwestern Ontario are warning the public about the dangers of crystal methamphetamine.

In a release issued on Tuesday, the OPP’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau said there has been a disturbing increased presence of the highly addictive drug in the area, with seizure statistics and related arrests on the rise in many communities in the region.

“Crystal methamphetamine is a dangerous and potent chemical. It is highly addictive and is associated with serious health conditions, including memory loss, aggression, psychotic behaviour and potential heart and brain damage. Many users report getting addicted from the first time they use it,” the release states.
