KENORA, Ont. — CTV's election decision desk is predicting that Conservative incumbent Eric Melillo will return to the House of Commons to represent the riding of Kenora for a second term.
Melillo had trailed NDP candidate Janine Seymour for much of the first two and a half hours after the polls closed Monday night.
But his vote tally surged shortly before midnight (EDT).
With 62 per cent of polls reporting, Melillo had captured 41 per cent of the vote compared with 32 per cent for Seymour.
