Cyclist struck, taken to hospital

Driver says he didn't see the cyclist coming.

THUNDER BAY – Police closed a section of John and Court streets on Thursday evening after a teenaged cyclist collided with an oncoming vehicle.

According to a Thunder Bay Television reporter who was on scene, the driver of the vehicle was visibly shaking when he said he did not see the cyclist coming.

The cyclist, reportedly not wearing a helmet, was transported to hospital with unknown injuries.
