THUNDER BAY - Dease Park welcomed the addition of new life and new scenery in the park’s future.

Volunteers planted 13 caliper trees around the park located on Vickers street.

The future benefits of the trees were indicated by the tags hung on the surrounding green ash trees.

“We are also encouraging residents to plant a tree on their own property to celebrate Arbor Day,” said Kayla Richard of Thunder Bay Urban Forest.

Arbor Day is celebrated globally, and promotes a cleaner, and more beautiful city in the means of trees.
