A man charged in connection with a fatal hit and run incident has to wait until June for his day in court.

Christian Hernandez was charged in December 2010 with impaired driving and failure to remain at the scene of an accident in an alleged hit-and-run that resulted in the death of 45-year-old Richard Carmichael.

A one-day trial was scheduled to proceed Monday, but because of disclosure issues around a missing video statement Hernandez was remanded until June 3.

Justice Joyce Pelletier said the trial could not proceed on March 18 and that it would be unfair to Hernandez.
