THUNDER BAY - A new positive case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in the Thunder Bay District, making it the first new case in more than two weeks.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting one new COVID-19 case on Friday. The positive test is in Thunder Bay and surrounding area and the exposure category is listed as pending.
This is the first new case reported in the district since July 7. The district saw no active cases as of July 19, the first time since Nov. 5, 2020.
The latest case brings the cumulative total in the Thunder Bay District to 3,341 since the start of the pandemic.
