The Lakehead Thunderwolves continue to add to their arsenal.

The men’s basketball team this week announced Burlington wing Tyler Sagl has agreed to join the team in 2022-23, coming off a successful career at the college and high school level.

Most recently he played at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

“I chose Lakehead University because they have an amazing coaching staff, the program is top notch, with great facilities and they have one of the best fan bases in the country.  I'm super excited to get to work.

Sagl was named to the MAAC all-rookie team and averaged 8.5 points a game, the highest of any rookie in the league.
He also scored in double figures 11 times.

“We're very pleased to be able to add a player of Tyler's calibre to our roster, he brings a high level of shooting, physicality and versatility” said coach Ryan Thomson, currently coaching in the CEBL this summer.

Sagl, who initially committed to Ryerson, will join his younger brother Chris, who made the OUA West all-rookie team last season.
