Dominion Motors employees who have been locked out for nearly a month voted to reject the company’s second proposed contract.

The group of 19 parts and service employees voted against the company's second proposed contract on Saturday. The first contract was put to a vote Feb. 21, but was voted down by a 98 per cent majority.

The Machinists union represents parts, service, and body shop mechanics, among others.

Parts associate Curtis Booth said while the second contract did see some improvements, it wasn't enough for them to accept the deal.
The employees have been without a contract for just over a year.

Booth said those on the picket line are staying strong, but are looking forward to getting back to work.
