DULUTH, Minn. — U.S. President Donald Trump will hold a rally in Duluth on Wednesday, June 20.

The rally will take place at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center.

The visit will be only the second stop in Duluth by a sitting President since 2004, when George W. Bush held a rally.

Trump campaigned in neighbouring Superior, Wisconsin in April 2016 in the run up to the November presidential election.

Next week's rally will be his first since his historic summit meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Duluth is in Minnesota's eighth congressional district, a traditional Democratic party stronghold. However the incumbent Democrat, who is retiring, narrowly defeated his Republic challenger in the 2016 election.

The next election in the district is scheduled for November.
