A security company says people selling security systems door-to-door under its name are imposters.
Apex Investigation & Security Inc. said they have been receiving complaints of individuals selling security systems throughout the region under "Apx Security" or "Apex Security" and have even been seen wearing the company’s old navy blue uniform.
The company sold its electronics division to TbayTel over two years ago and said it would never solicit door-to-door for any reason. Residents are encouraged to provide no personal information should they come into contact with the individuals and should call police.
