THUNDER BAY - An Ottawa resident is facing careless driving charges following a collision Monday evening.
On March 14 at 6:50 p.m., members of the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 1117 at Highway 102, also known as Sistonens Corner.
The Investigation revealed that a Tractor Trailer Unit southbound on Hwy 102 failed to stop at the stop sign and struck a westbound pickup truck on Highway 11/17.
The pickup truck suffered extensive damage but there were no injuries reported.
Police charged the driver of the Tractor Trailer Unit, Jacques DUFRESNE, 33 of Ottawa, ON with Careless Driving, contrary to section 130 of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.
