THUNDER BAY – Three people were sent to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision involving a police cruiser Friday morning.
An unmarked police cruiser was traveling northbound on Belrose Road around 10:30 a.m. when it stopped for city road workers who were patching potholes on the roadway.
A car traveling in the same direction rear-ended the police cruiser.
The two officers and the driver of the car were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
This investigation is ongoing.
Police want to remind drivers that road crews are out repairing potholes, so it’s important to slow down when approaching them.
