Drug bust nets 324 grams of crack cocaine

A 27-year-old Toronto man faces drug charges after a raid on an Academy Drive residence on Tuesday.

A 27-year-old Toronto man faces drug charges after a raid on an Academy Drive residence on Tuesday.

Drug Enforcement Unit officers seized 324 grams of crack cocaine worth $97,200, along with $1,685 in cash in the bust, executed with the assistance of a Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service investigation.

Desmynd Espeut has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds of crime under $5,000 and breach of probation.
He’s been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
