Drug-trafficking charges laid in Longlac

GREENSTONE – A trio of Longlac residents are facing drug-related charges following a search warrant last week.

Greenstone OPP, Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and Nishnawbe Aski Police executed a search warrant Oct. 20 at a Centennial Drive residence in Longlac.

Police arrested Crystal Tucker, 32, Malicaih Begin, 19 and Jeffrey Begin, 29.

All three have been charged with adult trafficking in a schedule 1 substance – fentanyl, adult possession of a schedule 1 substance - Methamphetamine and possession of property obtained by crime.

As a result all three accused were remanded into custody pending a bail hearing.

Greenstone OPP are continuing with this investigation in conjunction with the Greenstone Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Thunder Bay Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) and Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS) Drug Enforcement Unit.
