KENORA, Ont. — A four-month-long investigation in the Kenora area has resulted in multiple arrests and the seizure of vehicles, drugs and cash.
Ontario Provincial Police and Treaty Three Police executed search warrants and conducted a traffic stop on Feb. 17 as part of an investigation dubbed "Project Fenshaw."
The purpose of the operation was to disrupt the drug trafficking network in Kenora and surrounding communities.
A 63-year-old Kenora man was stopped after leaving a residence on Kendall Inlet Road, and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
At the residence, a 55-year-old Kenora man was charged with possession for trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime.
A second warrant was executed at a residence on Bunny Road, and a further person of interest was located on Mikana Way.
A 65-year-old Kenora resident was charged with possession for trafficking.
The investigation also resulted in the seizure of two automobiles, cell phones, over 1,000 grams of cocaine with a street value of $111,000, morphine pills, a quantity of cash and various drug paraphernalia.
