Dryden man charged with aggravated assault

Victim in Sept. 30 incident suffered life-threatening injuries.

DRYDEN, Ont. — Ontario Provincial Police have arrested a Dryden man in connection with an incident that left another person with life-threatening injuries.

Members of the Dryden Police Service were sent to a Clearwater Crescent residence just after midnight on Sept. 30 to investigate a report of an unconscious man.

Paramedics were already on the scene and had requested police assistance.

Officers found a 31-year-old man suffering from serious injuries.

Dryden police then requested the assistance of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

A 34-year-old Dryden resident is now charged with aggravated assault.

He was released pending his next court appearance on Oct. 18, 2021.
