Dryden man facing charges after OPP execute drug search warrant

Police seized several drugs including cocaine, crystal methamphetamine and morphine.

DRYDEN — A 38-year-old man is facing several drug-related offences following the execution of a search warrant by Dryden Ontario Provincial Police on Wednesday.

Police excepted a search warrant on April 7 at approximately 11:50 p.m. as part of a drug trafficking investigation, according to a news release issued on Friday, April 9. 

Police seized cocaine, crystal methamphetamine and morphine. Officers also located drug trafficking paraphernalia and approximately $2,400 in cash.

Andrew Walmsley, 38, of Dryden has been charged with several counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. He was also charged with two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

He was released from custody and is scheduled to attend court next on May 10.
