OPP News Release

(IRON BRIDGE, ON) – On December 19, 2015, at 7:53 a.m., members from the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to single vehicle motor collision in the Village of Iron Bridge on Highway 17.

As a result of the investigation, fatigue is considered to be a factor. A 26-year-old Dryden man was issued a Provincial Offence Notice and charged with: Careless Driving contrary to section 130 of the Highway Traffic Act.

Every person that sits behind the steering wheel of a motor vehicle has a responsibility to ensure that he or she and its passengers arrive to their destination safely.

The OPP continues to target those who put the wellbeing of others at risk by operating motor vehicles in violation of provincial and federal legislation.

“Every motorist has to do their part to ensure a safe arrival by obeying all the rules of road to prevent any tragedies this Holiday Season”, says Inspector Yves Forget of the East Algoma Detachment.
