Dryden Police continue to investigate an incident that caused a lockdown in part of that city Monday afternoon, and sent one man to hospital.

Police received a 911 call from a female who said she was with a man believed to be in distress.

Police later received information that a weapon may be involved, and responded by setting up a containment in the area near Leach and Colonization Roads.

Traffic was blocked and a nearby school was also contacted to secure and hold.

Roughly one-and-a-half hours later, the two individuals exited the area without incident.

The man was then taken to hospital under the Mental Health Act.
