DRYDEN - Residents are being reminded to lock up their vehicles after police have seen an increase in reported mischief to vehicles calls over the last few days.

With the holiday season approaching, police are asking residents to avoid leaving valuable items in plain view such as GPS, mobile devices, laptops, shopping bags, money and credit cards, according to a police news release issued Thursday, Nov. 19.

“Securing your vehicle and valuables makes sense year-round. But we know that would-be thieves are especially looking to play the role of Bad Santa during the holiday,” the release said.
