Dryden's Volunteer Recruitment workers reach three-year deal

Contract, which expires on July 31, 2020, provides annual raises of one per cent, two per cent and 2.5 per cent.

DRYDEN, Ont. – Twenty workers at Dryden’s Volunteer Recruitment and Referral Centre have approved a new three-year contract.

According to a release issued by Unifor, the deal got the nod of 75 per cent of those who voted.

“We are pleased to have finalized a new three year contract that will provide Unifor members with a number of language improvements on top of one per cent, two per cent and 2.5 per cent annual pay raises,” said Stephen Boon, a Unifor national representative.

“DVRRC has more than doubled in size over the last two years and we are very pleased to have maintained a solid working relationship with management throughout this period."

The contract runs through July 31, 2020.

DVRRC provides support to people with physical and developmental disabilities.
