Thunder Bay District Social Services Board's new chief administrative officer had her first official day on the job on Monday.
Melissa Harrison says she is excited about the new challenges ahead. She replaces the retired Mary Lucas and comes to Thunder Bay after formerly serving with the North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integrated Network and the Timiskaming DSSAB.
Harrison says she is excited about her new position because she shares the board's vision for a commitment to social justice and poverty reduction.
Harrison will be attending her first DSSAB meeting in Nipigon this Thursday.
