Early morning robbery

Police charged two men in connection to a robbery that happened early Sunday morning. Thunder Bay Police Service arrived at the 200 block of South Brodie Street around 3:30 a.m. for a reported assault in progress.

Thunder Bay Police Service arrived at the 200 block of South Brodie Street around 3:30 a.m. for a reported assault in progress. Police found the victim who suffered from minor injuries. Police discovered that the victim had been robbed by two men.

Police say they found the two suspects a short time later and arrested them without incident. Police charged a 30-year-old Fort Hope First Nation man and a 28-year-old Webequie First Nation man with robbery. Police laid an additional charge of breach of recognizance on the man from Fort Hope.

Police added one of the men knew the victim.

Both will appear in court sometime Sunday.
