Thunder Bay children will again rush onto the field at Charry Park Friday to collect as many Easter eggs as their baskets can carry.

The 15th annual East End Easter Egg Hunt is being held, starting at noon Friday. The Simpson Street BIA had initially cancelled the popular event last year, due to rising costs and a lack of volunteers. But the Thunder Bay Kinsmen and Kinettes and Liquidation World stepped in to save the 2009 hunt.

The two organizations have partnered again to hold the event this year, which typically attracts around a thousand kids and parents.

The scramble on the field featured ten thousand eggs filled with chocolate and prizes. Families are encouraged to show up before noon. All that's needed is a basket and an appetite for chocolate.
