(NIPIGON, ON) – On Tuesday June 14, 2016 at approximately 4:47 pm, officers from the Nipigon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a missing elderly male in the Nipigon area.
The 86 year old male had been last seen in the Nipigon area at approximately 2:30 pm on June 14th, and had not been seen since that time.
Officers from Nipigon OPP, OPP North West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit, the OPP Marine Unit, OPP Crime unit, Lakehead Search & Rescue Unit (LRSU) as well as a Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) Helicopter were involved in the search.
At approximately 8:56 pm the male was located in the Nipigon area in good health
