Eleven new COVID-19 cases announced

Thunder Bay District Health Unit says 99 cases still active in their catchment area.

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay District Health Unit says there are 11 new COVID-19 cases in the district.

The public health agency on Wednesday said that brings the total since the pandemic began to 331. There are 99 cases currently considered active at this time.

Eight of the cases are listed as close contacts, with one related to travel and two others with no known exposure.

All are self isolating and all but one of the cases are listed as residing in Thunder Bay and surrounding communities, while one is listed as being in a district community.

Of the previous cases, 228 cases are considered resolved. Four deaths have been attributed to COVID-19 in the Thunder Bay District.
