THUNDER BAY — A section of Alloy Drive was closed early Wednesday for emergency repairs.
The City of Thunder Bay issued an advisory saying the street would be closed between Balmoral Street and Cobalt Crescent until sometime into the evening to accommodate emergency infrastructure repairs.
A spokesperson later clarified that a watermain break will require a "deep excavation" to repair.
Work began at 8 a.m.
During the closure, Alloy Drive remains accessible from Central Avenue, and access to the Husky/Esso station will be maintained at Cobalt Crescent.
Motorists are asked to plan alternate routes, use caution in the area, and follow all posted signage.
