New Year's Eve is going to busy in Thunder Bay, especially if you'll be looking for a taxi later in the evening.

Roach's Yellow Taxi general manager Dennis LeBeau says it always pays to help taxi drivers as much as possible.

“When you call, if we’re going to a house and the driver needs to go to a side door because the people are downstairs then just let us know,” LeBeau said.

“Because the driver will wait five minutes, but then have to move on to the next call.

He added that the peak hours will be between midnight and 2 a.m., and people can expect to wait an hour for a car.
