Extreme cold warning in effect

Wind chills could drop as low as -40 C overnight.

THUNDER BAY -- Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for the city of Thunder Bay. 

A period of very cold wind chills is expected to continue overnight on Thursday and into Friday morning, dipping as low as -40 C, with the actual overnight temperature hitting as low as -31 C. 

Temperatures during the day on Thursday are expected to be moderate and the extreme cold temperatures are not expected to repeat on Friday night.
