THUNDER BAY -- With windchill values below - 30C, Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for Thunder Bay.
The national weather service announced the advisory on Christmas morning, with a - temperature of - 24C but a frigid windchill of - 33C.
Windchill values near - 40C are expected over the coming nights though temperatures are forecasted to hit a high of around - 20C during the day.
People are urged to watch for cold related symptoms including shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.
