THUNDER BAY – Dozens of families were out this Sunday to celebrate those who give so much but ask for nothing in return, moms.
A Mother's Day brunch was held at the Valhalla Hotel, with roughly 100 people in attendance to share in the special day and celebrate together.
The Valhalla’s annual Mother’s Day Brunch celebrates local grandmothers, mothers, and their families and, as per usual, this year's event filed out fast with families scrambling for a spot in one of the two seatings.
The room was full of smiling faces as attendees were able to enjoy all their breakfast and brunch favourites
“I love doing this,” said Daina Duce, one of the moms being celebrated at this years brunch. “Moms can relax and enjoy food and enjoy their Mother's Day with their families.”
Another Thunder Bay Mother being celebrated at the brunch, Joan Robrock said that for her and her family, Mother's Day brunch has been an annual tradition starting with her own mother.
“It's a beautiful thing to bring the family together, especially cause everybody's so busy these days,” she said. “It's nice for everybody to come together in one room with great food.”
