THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay families will get a head start ringing in 2020 at Fort William Historical Park’s Family Frolic Tuesday evening. The event culminates with a fireworks show at 10 p.m., to accommodate children whose bedtimes might not let them stay up for midnight.

The event is packed with activities. Outdoors, participants can enjoy snow shoeing, skating, and axe-throwing. They can also join in a log-sawing contest or trivia challenge. Indoors, crafts, a science station, scavenger hunt, and food samples should be enough to keep kids busy.

The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m., with tickets $10 for adults and $8 for students, senior, and youth. Children aged 5 and under get in free.
