One of the world’s most famous tall ships is expected arrive at Marina Park for a two-day visit starting Aug. 4.
HMS Bounty was built in 1960 for MGM’s Mutiny on the Bounty, which starred Marlon Brando. More recently it was used in the Pirates of the Carribean series starring Johnny Depp. According to the ship's website the Bounty will visit the city after appearing at Tall Ships Duluth 2010.
Details about the visit will not be known until after a news conference scheduled for Friday.
The 180-foot, or 54-metre, square-rigged three-master ship was built in Lunenburg, N.S.
