EDMONTON -- Thunder Bay's Ryan Fanti will serve as the emergency back-up goaltender for the Edmonton Oilers in the NHL playoffs.
Fanti, who signed a two-year, two-way deal with the Oilers in 2022, split the season between the American Hockey League's Bakersfield Condors and the ECHL's Fort Wayne Komets, where he compiled a 9-6-2 record with a 2.75 goals against average and a .915 save percentage.
The Oilers open the 2024 playoffs at home on Monday night against the Los Angeles Kings.
