One man is dead and another remains in hospital following a two vehicle collision near Manitouwadge.
The crash occurred Tuesday afternoon on a remote camp road north of the community when two pickups struck head-on on the crest of a hill. The occupant of one of the vehicles was able to exit on his own but two men had to be extricated by emergency personnel.
All three were transported to hospital, where a 56-year-old Manitouwadge man succumbed to his injuries. A second victim was transferred to hospital in Thunder Bay for further treatment.
